Hello, My name is Michelle, I am married to the love of my life with 2 amazing little ones 11 months apart, and I LOVE to cook. Through out the years I have varied in the directions I have taken. For the past few years we decided we wanted to watch our health and 100lbs lighter we are still going strong. We have cut out processed foods, try to eat local when we can and try to cut eat as healthy as possible while not sacrificing taste.

2 Beautiful children later we decided we wanted to continue this lifestyle of healthy living to encourage our kids to follow in these footsteps and make it less of a challenge starting them off on the right path of eating.

Things I am not. I am not Vegan, Paleo, Raw, south Beach, Atkins or anything like that. Some of my dishes can fall into some of those categories but there are many foods I refuse to give up entirely. I can say I will cut junk out of my life, But I like fruit. I like oats, I loove artisan breads. I try to stay away from wheat products where I can however. I try to choose lower carb options and I know what foods my body tolerates well and which ones I know I am going to have to clean eat for a week after in order to make up for the meal I ate that doesn’t like me. You all have them and you know it. But I am not being honest with myself if I say I will never touch, rice or bread again. I am setting myself up for failure.

I like to be creative in the kitchen and sometimes I come up with ideas that impress me and I think I want to make again. But with all the scratches of paper with brainstormed notes, I never can remember how I made it the 1st time. So here is where this blog comes in. I need a space to organize my ideas in one safe place.

My husband and I are currently enrolled in 2 different CSA’s, One started yesterday and the other starts in May. Since we mostly shop local and as organic as possible I Thought this would be a good way for me to keep up with what we are getting, and what I am doing with it. Wether it would be something we want to do again next year, or if I get stuck with a bunch of ingredients I don’t care for or no how to use.
This is where I plan to do my kitchen concoctions. 🙂 This will also enable me to add recipes and pictures for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners, Snacks, Desserts, and everything in between. I also have a thing for bento lunches so I am excited to showcase them here as well and find out what works for my son and as soon as babygirl moves into more solids, what she likes as well.
